framed ikat textile as wall hanging

This image (featured in Elle Decor March 2009 issue) is from painter Anne Becker’s New York apartment. I love the framed antique ikat textile that is being used as a wall hanging. A beautiful French farm table is used as a desk. But my favorite objects in this room are definitely Anne’s dogs Seymour and Leo!

  • I adore this concept! I actually just bought some various wrapping papers and frames to do something very similar but on a slightly smaller scale. 😀 cool post.
    Hope you’ll follow mine.

  • You can find the pink ikat wall hanging as well as some other lovely colorful finds at a store Sheherazade NYC. They’ve got an online site too. Really great Oriental items but updated in fashion forward colors.

  • Alot of the GREAT items from this featured apartment are available at Sheherazade (www.sheherazadenyc.com). Check out the exotic finds from Morocco, Syria, Turkey, Central Asia and more. A store not to be missed!
