I have posted about Katrin Aren’s home before but I found some new images of her beautiful house in Italy which fit perfectly in my summer series. Katrin has made most of the furniture herself. These gorgeous pieces are also for sale. Each piece is unique and handmade, using materials reclaimed; from derelict country houses, from cellars, and from carpentry studios.

You know when a title says “A Beautiful…” and then it’s not? It happens quite a bit, but this isn’t the case. I want to rent a house like this in Italy and spend a lazy month there.

I love this home, it’s gorgeous. I adore white rooms and the rustic/natural wood furniture is perfect, adding texture and depth. The gold mirrors are also fabulous – gold always adds a touch of chic and in this case adds a little warmth – beautiful.
