The building is which this beautiful home is located was built in 1888 in neo-Renaissance style. Luckily many original features such as the ceiling medallions, bay window, stucco work and mirrored doors are still in place. And what about that gorgeous old fire place? Isn’t that a stunning feature! This beautiful 3-room apartment is for sale but you will have to move to Gothenburg, Sweden. Which is not too bad as the Haka neighourhood is a lovely place to live with its picturesque wooden houses, 19th century-atmosphere and cafés. More information about this cosy home can be found on Stadshem’s website.
I love that they turned the book spines towards the wall so they all go with their decor. The whole space is so lovely!
The decision to hold on to the ceiling medallions is great. It adds so much soul to the entire interior. And that fire place is just stunning how it blends with the rest of the old-timer stuff in the room. So original!
