absolutely love old vintage wooden toys. i appreciate any toy from a big box store that makes a child happy, but in terms of an investment and an appreciation for the craft of hard carving….. i would definitely want my children to have all vintage and wooden toys.
lovely toys. recently (although i did not have a camera) I saw some “modern” wood toys in a market in mexico. there is just something about hand made anythings!
lovelies! makes me wanna come back to chilhood
Great toys! I barely remember that my doctor (which was one of the oldest child doctor in the city, probably) had one of those trains when i was a kid. Bring memories back! And i loved the feel they gave; unique, handmade and wooden.
Yes these brought a few memories back indeed. The top I used to have to pump several times to make it go faster. I remember the wooden toys, and also jacks was my favourite pastime during the summer holidays. I used to spend hours playing jacks with the tiny silver jacks and bouncy ball!
I’ve been collecting Fisher Price toys (mostly 1970s) for my kids. I love these. thanks for sharing…
