Today it is time to let you know why I have not been able to post as much as I normally do. The reason for this is that I am 3.5 months pregnant. We are very happy with the news but unfortunately I was not just suffering from morning sickness: I have been nautious 24/7 for the past 10 weeks. As a result I was not able to do anything (besides lying doing). Luckily I am doing a little bit better now (less nautious) but I am still very weak as I was dehydrated and lost weight. But I have good hope that things will improve soon!

This news is a good opportunity to introduce my new sponsor Smallable. Smallable is a stylish online shop which is based in France, but they can ship world-wide. They have a great selection of childrens clothing and furniture & accessories to decorate nurseries and kids’ rooms.

  • Congratulations on the pregnancy. I feel for you with the first trimester nausea, mine was 24/7 horribleness, then stopped almost exactly on the day after 4 months. I am now due next week! Goodluck with it all and take it easy!

  • Congratulations! What great news. I am looking forward to your kid decor ideas. Hope you feel much better very soon.

  • Congratulations on the wonderful news! Morning sickness is awful! I was really sick clear through week 22. I hope you feel better soon!

  • Gefeliciteerd!

  • congrats!!!! so sorry to hear that your first trimester was so hard, but it should hopefully get a lot better soon! all the best to you & your hubby :]

  • Congrats! I’m right there with you – i’m at 12 weeks right now and have been sick sick sick for the last 7 weeks. Many days I can do nothing but sleep as it’s the only thing that keeps the sickness away! I hope yours continues to improve and that I’m right behind you in improving!

  • great news!
your little baby is lucky to be born into such a trendy loving family.
we are expecting the birth of our first son in the next month or so, an exciting time i can tell you that!
all the best re morning sickness, it will pass.

  • Congrats! I had a very similar experience and then by Dr. introduced me to what became my saving grace which is safe for the baby and really does eliminate morning sickness ( or should I say all day sickness in my case!) Okay, so take 1/2 to 1 Unisom sleeping pill and a B-6 vitamin in the am or whenever your feeling nauseas. It’s a life savor! Try it…it works like a charm!

  • many congrats! My sister had 24/7 morning sickness during the first few months with all three of her pregnancies. It’s no fun, so I hope you’re finding ways of making yourself comfortable. stay healthy, and we’re looking forward to seeing any nursery room inspiration.

  • How nice that your absence has such a wonderful reason. Congratulations & all the best for you 2!

  • Congratulations. I have been away from the blogging world for months now, and I am happy to come back to your blog to see the good news πŸ™‚

Btw, I am loving your new sponsors furnitures.

    Hope you feel better soon!

  • I discovered your blog when I was early in my pregnancy. It was such a delight to me when I was feeling sick. I’m so excited to see how your style will change now that you’re a mother!

  • Congratulations!! That’s wonderful news πŸ™‚ I hope you start feeling better soon. I’ve been the same – there were so many times I just couldn’t see how I’d make it… but at 18 weeks now & have improved so much over the last couple of weeks. Still on “Zofran” from the obstetrician which isn’t great but the alternative would have been hospital. (Doesn’t stop the nausea but really helps to control the vomiting.) Nothing else provided any relief at all & have lost over 15kg so far… Now that I’m feeling much more human, I’ve been getting really excited about new little person. I love your blog – it’s my favourite for interiors & I have found so much inspiration over the last few years for my “future home restyling”! Hopefully we’ll both be able to pay more attention to our blogs soon πŸ™‚
