The Style Files is Danielle de Lange’s daily weblog about design and (life) style. The Style Files is dedicated to search the globe for inspirational finds. Observations and ideas related to design, interiors, art and other life enhancing subjects are posted daily. This is a place to absorb new ideas, find new products & designs and to get inspired!

Based in The Netherlands, The Style Files gives worldwide coverage from a European viewpoint, with an emphasis on Dutch and the –not so standard- design.

About me

My name is Danielle de Lange and I live in The Netherlands. In addition to my day job in the corporate world, I also work as a freelance interior stylist. In November 2007 a life long dream to set up my own business was fulfilled when I opened Le Souk, an online store where you can discover beautiful and unique products for you and your home. Our collection offers a wide –and still growing- range of home accessories for modern living, as well as personal accessories. Mixing modern, traditional and handmade, every single product at Le Souk is selected with a lot of care and love.

I love all the good things life has to offer, such as great food & wine, design of any kind and art. When time and money allows, I like to travel. Experiencing different cultures and seeing different places inspire me. I love summertime and can not stand winters. Unfortunately, The Netherlands is not known for its warm climate. One day I hope to have my own dog and live together with my boyfriend Ivar somewhere warm and green.

My personal archive, which I have built up to a huge collection over the years, is full of clippings I took from my favorite magazines and trips. Those files encouraged me to start this website (hence The Style Files). My goal is to share all these great findings with you!

My design style is basic and modern with clean lines. My main goal is to make a (clients) house warm and inviting. Your home should make you happy and should reflect your lifestyle and individuality. This can be achieved by integrating art and personal objects (acquired on e.g. journeys) into your home.
