
These beautiful chairs are created by designers Johannes Gille and Jos Kranen from The Netherlands. The roots of these chair, namedForest Chair, can be found within the “Volkskunst” a typical style witch developed itself over hundreds of years between the mountains of Tirol, Austria. Johannes and Jos have transformed the characteristics of that particular style into modern-time-objects, using industrial, reproducible ways. Form without function here. I cannot imagine what the backs of these chairs would do to clothing–imagine wearing a sweater and trying to get up from one of these chairs! :::snag:::
