Scandia chair

To me the Scandia chair is one of the most beautiful chairs ever made. The chair is designed by Hans Brattrud from Norway in 1957. The Scandia chair collection consist of the Scandia Junior dining chair, Scandia Nett lounge chair and Scandia Senior easy chair. My favorite is the Scandia Nett Lounge Chair. This comfortable chair with continuous formed wood slats and chrome supports is made of bended rosewood, walnut veneer or teak slatts.
Today, the Scandia chairs are produced by fjordfiesta.furniture. This Norwegian furniture firm aims to manufacture classic and modern furniture designed by the foremost Scandinavian designers. On their website you can find an overview of dealers and retailers. In The Netherlands the Scandia chair is available from Wonderwood.
