Flower Shade by Froukje Kuiper

published November 6, 2006 in dutch design, home accessories and lighting | email | print

Ever since graduating from the Design Academy Eindhoven in 2002, Dutch designer Froukje Kuiper has been playing around with geometric shapes. Her desire to create a three-dimensional design with just two-dimensional ingredients resulted in the Flower Shade lamp. The flowers are more than just decoration: they form the lamp itself, creating soft layers of light, inspired by the beauty of nature.
