Ever since graduating from the Design Academy Eindhoven in 2002, Dutch designer Froukje Kuiper has been playing around with geometric shapes. Her desire to create a three-dimensional design with just two-dimensional ingredients resulted in the Flower Shade lamp. The flowers are more than just decoration: they form the lamp itself, creating soft layers of light, inspired by the beauty of nature.

The lamp is available in two sizes, 39 cm (around €160/US$190) and 55 cm (around €275/US$330). Design store &David (also manufacturer of the lamp) ships globally. You can contact them here for more information and orders.
